Kirsten grew up in McKinney, Texas cheering on the Boilermakers as long as she could remember. After graduating high school in 2019, she continued her Purdue family legacy and chose to study Speech Pathology. Camden grew up in Lowell, Indiana and became the first Boilermaker in his family after graduating high school in 2020, studying Construction Management.

Beginning her freshman year, Kirsten began attending various events at the Christian fraternity on campus: Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX!) She quickly became friends with some of the guys in the house :) Little did she know, that just 2 years later, Camden would be joining that same fraternity. In the Fall of 2021, Camden moved into the BYX house, and the two crossed paths for the first time. The two had a few conversations here and there, but God had great plans to prepare them individually before they would begin pursuing each other. They both look back to that season of life and recognize how crucial it was to their spiritual growths.

Flash forward to April 2022, after running into each other at the house, Kirsten on a whim invited Camden to help her make puppy chow for a class potluck. That first "date" was filled with fun and intentional conversations discussing each other's testimonies, families, goals and dreams. The two had so much fun, and agreed they wanted to see each other again. After a few more fun dates, the two began long distance in Summer 2022, filled with hours of FaceTime calls and a few flights to see each other. Then on July 28, 2022, the two became "official!"

God has been the illustrator of their story, and has been so kind to lead them to marriage. Camden popped the question on December 20, 2023 on the beach in Cancun while on a Van Beek family vacation, and Kirsten said yes!

Currently Kirsten is finishing up her Master's degree at Baylor University, and will graduate this December 2024. Camden is now officially a "Texan," working in Dallas as a Project Engineer.

The two cannot wait to get married on March 22, 2025 and celebrate with all their favorite people :)
